Terms of Service

Divorce Tutor, PLLC · Effective: August 14, 2026 · Last updated: August 14, 2026

1. About Divorce Tutor; No Legal Advice or Attorney-Client Relationship

Divorce Tutor is a self-help document-preparation and educational service for New Hampshire family-law matters, operated by Divorce Tutor, PLLC. By using it, you agree to these Terms.

Divorce Tutor does not act as your attorney or law firm in connection with your use of the platform. We do not provide legal advice, legal opinions, legal recommendations, or legal representation through the platform, and no attorney-client relationship is created by your use of the platform. In plain terms: using this platform does not make us your lawyers. The platform helps you prepare court forms based on the information you provide and the choices you make; it does not tell you what is legally best for you or your family. For advice about your completed forms, or case specific circumstances, or if you are unsure whether the platform or its forms are appropriate for your situation, consult a licensed attorney.

The platform's questions, forms, and educational content were prepared by a licensed New Hampshire attorney for general informational use. They are not a substitute for case specific legal advice.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 and able to form a binding contract. The platform is designed for New Hampshire family law cases; you are responsible for confirming use of the platform fits your situation. Adult users may enter information concerning minor children when that information is required to prepare family-law forms.

3. Your account

You're responsible for keeping your login secure and for activity under your account. Accounts are for individual use only and may not be shared. Membership is for an individual account user. Your legal first and last name and date of birth are associated with your account so the forms generated from your profile remain consistent. You must contact the Support Team for assistance to change your legal name or date of birth.

4. Use of the Platform; How Support Works

You may use the platform to prepare and download your own court forms and to access the educational content included in your membership. Our Support Team helps you navigate the platform and workflows, locate related educational content, manage account access and payments, and troubleshoot technical issues.

The Divorce Tutor Support Team does not provide legal advice. Our Support Team will not assist you with choosing answers, editing your answers, making legal decisions or filing documents for you. If, as part of a Support Request, you choose to grant our Support Team access to an in-progress form, that access is limited to addressing your support request and ends when the ticket is resolved or after 30 days, whichever occurs first. Access by Support Team personnel may be logged for support, security, and auditing purposes. You remain responsible for the content and accuracy of your forms. If your questions relate to requests for legal advice, our Divorce Tutor Support Team will recommend you contact an attorney for further assistance.

You agree not to misuse the platform, including any attempts to access data of other users without authorization, reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the platform, copy, resell, or redistribute any aspect of the platform, introduce viruses, malware, or other harmful code, interfere with the platform's operation or security, use automated means (including bots or scrapers) to access the platform, circumvent access controls or usage limitations, or use the platform for anything unlawful.

5. Form sessions, resets, and fair use

One purchase - one case - one person. Each form you purchase covers preparing that document for your own case — the case connected to your account and profile. A purchase is not permission, direct or implied, to prepare the same document for other people or other cases. Using your account or a purchased form to prepare documents for anyone else (a friend, a family member, a client, or any third party) is misuse of the platform. When you create your account, you confirm (by a checkbox at signup) that you are using Divorce Tutor for your own case and that you are not using the platform to prepare documents for a client or any other person. An account holder who needs assistance because of a disability or impairment may permit another person to help operate the platform, but the account holder remains responsible for all information entered and all decisions made through the account.

Starting over (resets after "Final Review" and "PDF" generated form). You can reset a form to erase your progress and start it from the beginning — for example, if your situation changed or you want a clean start. Resetting permanently erases that form's answers and cannot be undone. To protect against misuse, each form allows up to three (3) resets. After the third reset, the form locks and you'll be directed to our Support Team to request an unlock. Requests based on legitimate case changes may be approved by the Support Team in its reasonable discretion. Although case information may change, the account holder's name and date of birth should remain constant.

Reset limitations. Repeated resets or reset requests that suggest multiple users are sharing a single form purchase will be treated as misuse. The reset limit, together with the locked legal name and date of birth on your account (Section 3), keeps each purchase associated with the original account holder.

Results of repeated reset requests/misuse. If Divorce Tutor, PLLC reasonably suspects misuse, account sharing, excessive reset requests, or preparation of documents for anyone other than the account holder, Divorce Tutor, PLLC may: (a) lock the form in question; (b) suspend the account; and/or (c) terminate access under Section 12. We will inform the account holder of the action taken and the reasons for it, and provide an opportunity to respond through the Support Team. Our determination of misuse shall be made in our reasonable discretion.

Fees for forms that have been used are not refundable in cases of misuse.

6. Information About Other Parties

Court forms may require information about the other party in your case (for example, your spouse). By entering another person's information, you represent and warrant that you are legally allowed to provide it for the purpose of preparing your court documents, and that doing so does not violate any law or court order. You are responsible for the accuracy and lawful use of information you enter about any third party. Use of the site for harassing, stalking, or harmful purposes against another person is cause for termination of access to the site. You also agree to indemnify Divorce Tutor (that is, cover our legal costs and any damages) for third-party claims arising out of your knowing or intentional unlawful use of another person's information, or your use of the platform to harass, stalk, or harm another person.

7. Membership, fees, and billing

  • Membership: the applicable membership fee and billing frequency are displayed at checkout, and membership gives access to the platform, the Knowledge Hub, and the dedicated Divorce Tutor Support Team. Your membership automatically renews at the billing frequency displayed at checkout until cancelled.
  • Forms: you may purchase individual forms; prices are shown in the Browse Forms section, as well as at checkout.
  • Cancellation: you can cancel your membership at any time through your account settings. Your membership benefits and access to previously purchased forms remain available through the end of your then-current paid membership period.
  • Billing problems: if a payment fails, we retry the card associated with the user membership and email you to update your card information. New purchases are paused after seven (7) days until payment is successful. Continued failure to pay may result in suspension or termination of your account.
  • Refunds: Except as required by applicable law, it is Divorce Tutor's policy that all sales are final. Any request for a refund shall be reviewed on a case-by-case basis, and granted or denied in Divorce Tutor's sole discretion. If a refund is issued, access to the form associated with the refund may be terminated. If the refund relates to the membership, access to the Knowledge Hub, Support Team and other membership benefits may be terminated. This policy is displayed at checkout.
  • Fee changes: We will provide advance notice of any change to a recurring membership fee, and the change will apply no earlier than the next renewal following that notice.

By purchasing, you authorize the recurring and one-time charges described at checkout.

By creating an account, you consent to receive electronic communications from Divorce Tutor (including emails regarding your account, transactions, and service updates). You agree that we may provide notices, disclosures, and other communications to you electronically, subject to applicable law.

8. Your documents and intellectual property

The documents you generate may be downloaded, modified, filed, and used by you for your own case. You retain any rights you have in the information you submit through the platform. This does not transfer ownership of the underlying templates, workflows, or platform. The platform itself — its content, questions, workflows, design, and branding — belongs to Divorce Tutor, PLLC or its licensors, and Divorce Tutor's names, logos, and branding are used by Divorce Tutor and may be protected under applicable trademark law. Subject to these Terms, Divorce Tutor grants you a limited, nonexclusive, nontransferable right to access and use the platform solely for your own case during the period you are authorized to access it. All rights not expressly granted are reserved. You may not copy, distribute, sell, license, scrape, systematically extract content from, reverse engineer, create derivative works from, or otherwise reuse the platform or use any portion of the platform or service, except as necessary to prepare your own documents for your own case. You may not use Divorce Tutor's names, logos, or branding without our prior written consent.

9. Disclaimers

The platform is provided 'as is' and 'as available.' We do not guarantee any legal outcome, that all NH courts/judges will accept any form generated from this platform, that the forms or guidance within the forms fit your specific case circumstances, that the platform will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that your generated forms will be error-free. You are responsible for reviewing every document for accuracy and completeness before filing it, and for meeting all court rules and deadlines. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties not expressly stated here. Nothing in these Terms disclaims any warranty or right that cannot lawfully be disclaimed.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Divorce Tutor, PLLC will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits or data, arising out of your use of the platform; and Divorce Tutor's total aggregate liability for claims arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of the platform will not exceed the greater of (a) the amounts you paid to Divorce Tutor in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) one hundred dollars ($100). Divorce Tutor, PLLC is not responsible for any adverse legal result, rejected filing, or missed deadline resulting from inaccurate or incomplete information supplied by the user, the user's failure to review a generated document, or the user's failure to comply with court requirements or deadlines. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for fraud, willful misconduct, gross negligence, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

11. Third-party services

The platform uses third-party providers (including Gavel.io for form workflows and document generation, Stripe for payment processing, Supabase for data infrastructure, Resend for email services, and The Bold Way for website management). The content of your forms is processed and stored by Gavel.io as described in our Privacy Policy; Gavel.io operates its own independent infrastructure that we do not directly control. The platform depends on third-party services that Divorce Tutor does not fully control, and the availability and operation of those services may affect the platform. Our collection, use, disclosure, retention, and protection of personal information are described in our Privacy Policy.

12. Termination

You may stop using the platform and delete your account at any time from your Account settings. Account information and form data will be deleted or retained as described in our Privacy Policy. Data maintained by third-party providers may remain in backups or other systems for a limited period after a deletion request. We may suspend or terminate access for: (a) a material violation of these Terms; (b) suspected fraud, misuse, or unlawful activity; (c) a legal or security requirement; or (d) discontinuation of the platform.

Where reasonably practicable and not involving fraud, misuse, or a security concern, we will provide notice and a reasonable opportunity to download completed documents before access ends.

If Divorce Tutor discontinues the platform, Divorce Tutor will provide reasonable notice where practicable. Any refunds will be provided as required by applicable law.

Upon termination of your account for any reason: (a) your right to access and use the platform ends; (b) you remain responsible for all fees incurred before termination; and (c) provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive will survive termination.

13. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Hampshire.

Any action arising out of or relating to these Terms or the platform shall be brought exclusively in the state courts located in Hillsborough County, New Hampshire, or the United States District Court for the District of New Hampshire, and each party consents to the jurisdiction of those courts.

Before filing a claim, you agree to attempt to resolve the dispute informally by contacting us at support@divorcetutor.com with a written description of the claim. We will attempt to resolve the dispute within 30 days. If the dispute is not resolved, either party may pursue available remedies in accordance with this section.

This informal-resolution requirement does not prevent either party from seeking immediate injunctive or other emergency relief when reasonably necessary.

Nothing in these Terms waives any right or remedy that cannot lawfully be waived.

14. If the service is interrupted – Force Majeure

The platform depends on outside providers (hosting, database, document generation, email, payments and website management). Divorce Tutor, PLLC is not responsible for any failure or delay caused by events beyond its reasonable control, including outages or failures of hosting, database, document-generation, payment, email, or other service providers. Divorce Tutor, PLLC recommends that users complete and download forms well in advance of any court deadlines.

15. Severability; survival

If a court finds any part of these Terms unenforceable, that part will be limited or severed to the minimum extent necessary, and the rest remains in effect. Provisions that by their nature should survive will survive termination or expiration of these Terms.

16. Changes

We may update these Terms; we'll update the "Last updated" date when the Terms change and, for material changes, may provide notice by email or by notice on the platform. Continued use after the effective date of revised Terms means you accept them. If you do not agree, you may stop using the platform and cancel your membership. Changes will not apply retroactively to a dispute arising before the effective date of the revised Terms.

17. Contact

18. Entire Agreement; Waiver

These Terms, together with any additional terms presented and accepted at checkout, constitute the entire agreement between you and Divorce Tutor regarding your use of the platform and supersede prior agreements, representations, and understandings concerning that use. No waiver of any provision of these Terms will be deemed a continuing waiver of that provision or any other provision. Our failure to enforce a right or provision does not waive that right or provision.
